Students
who studied the arts for more than four years, out performed non-arts
students on the SAT.
A curriculum
that devotes 25% or more of the school day to the arts produces children
with academically superior abilities. (Eric Oddliefson-Task Force for
Children's Arts)

Mrs.
Noyes' PreK class studied Van Gogh's Sunflowers and then created
their own eye-catching sunflower paintings.
After
studying the works of Edgar Degas, Mrs. Welborn's class created their own
"Frieze of Dancers."
Recycling
Art - It is said that one man's trash is another man's treasure. Mrs. Gremillion
challenged the students to make art using materials that we usually throw
away. The students were able to produce very creative and interesting art
work with the "trash."
Mrs.
Holden's PreK class put themselves into their work as they used their arms,
hands, and fingers to paint their eye-catching "Fall Leaves."
Inspired
by Picasso's Main Aux Fleurs, Mrs. Williams's class painted bouquets
of colorful flowers.
Mrs.
Relle's PreK class used Mondrian's Composition (Blue, Red, and Yellow)
in their study of geometric shapes and primary colors. On display are
the children's "Compositions."
