Dear Parents,

During October I will be teaching a unit on Fire Safety, in P. E. class. Your child will view an age-appropriate video, “Crawl Low in Smoke”, and learn how to Stop, Drop, and Roll through practice.

We will discuss the importance of having smoke detectors in the house, how to exit a house safely in case of a fire, designating a family meeting place, and the importance of Stop, Drop, and Roll.

Please check the batteries in your smoke detectors; your detectors are only as good as the batteries in them. If you have no smoke detectors in the house, then please install at least one today.
