Message
from the Principal
Dear Parents, Guardians,
Boys and Girls:
Thank you for the
fantastic evening, Thursday, January 19th (Family Reading and Math Night).
Everyone had a wonderful time. The learning and sharing was the best.
We had no leftover pizza, nachos, or soft drinks which is a sign that
we had many more families this year. It is one of my favorite events.
We are gearing
up for the Spring testing week which is March 20-26. I want to personally
thank all of you for working so hard these past months. It is very helpful
for parents and guardians to work closely with the students on projects
and homework assignments. Boy and girls, you can be the teacher and
show your parents what you are learning by demonstrating to them how
you have learned the skills at school. The teachers have created lessons
to help students learn the testing taking format. It is important that
the boys and girls use problem-solving skills to think things through
and to explain their work.
Good news! The
car line in the AM is moving a little quicker thanks to parents getting
their children to school before 8:15. Our first bell rings at 8:13,
and the teachers pick up the children at 8:15. Students should be unbuckled,
have book sacks in hand, and said their good-byes before coming up to
the unloading zone. Traffic is always heavier on Lenwood Drive approaching
the school. Keep this in mind.
I am always thankful
to see so many parents volunteering their time here at Whispering Forest.
Remember PTA and the office staff are counting volunteer hours, so please
be sure to sign-in/out and document your hours in the book. If you have
any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me.
Sincerely,
Eric S. Sacks
